Writing Journey

In 2014 I completed my Masters degree in Creative Writing at Teesside University. Learning from local writers, I tried out all kinds of writing styles while finding my voice and learning which stories I wanted to tell.

Mentoring has had a huge impact on my writing career. I was accepted onto a mentoring scheme with Writer’s Block North East, and under their guidance, I was able to complete a full manuscript and learned essential story telling techniques that I continue to lean on in my practice.

I was then accepted onto the WriteMentor summer scheme where I received my first developmental and line edit, which greatly improved my craft. I highly recommend mentorship to any aspiring writer.

Since then, I have completed a number of fantasy manuscripts that I’m enormously proud of. I’m an active participant in a number writing groups and enjoy supporting and learning from other writers at all stages of their career from new writers to published authors.
